JUDY'S PERSONAL STORY my journey to health & wellness - a continuing story

Dear Friends - I am no expert in any field, including the field of health and well-being. That being said, please let me share with you how I have been regaining my health, my emotional well-being, and improving my life-style. It began . . . hmmm, I was going to say it began a couple months ago, but it really began about 56 years ago! Gave away my age, didn't I? Okay, I'm 56, and glad to be a gray-haired granny! I grew up in the 50's and 60's, like a lot of my friends. You'll remember, if you're a Baby Boomer like me, the years of fuzzy dice, Howdy-Doody, oleo-margarine (shudder!) and Wonder Bread. When color television came to our house, along with Lucky Charms and platform shoes, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! It was too good to be true: I had sugar and preservatives for breakfast (most cereals), lunch (bread, peanut butter and even sandwich meat) and dinner (almost every prepared food -if you don't believe it, look at the labels!). T.V. dinners were very common in our house, along with the Colonel's Fried Chicken, Colas and canned everything. In short, our health went to You-Know-Where in a hand-basket! Okay, I'm gonna cut to the chase: it all came to a head about three years ago, when I experienced a complete collapse of my health: my blood pressure, which had always been higher than it should be, shot up to 210 over 100, I had migraines almost daily, I caught every cold that even looked my way, and panic attacks were making me virtually immobile. I was a basket case. Three trips to the local E.R. and several prescriptions later, I found a semblance of control and calm. But I was still sick and tired of being sick and tired. Not until about two months ago, in August of 2008, did I stumble on something that actually, finally helped. I'm regaining my strength, my psoriasis has cleared up, my exposure to household toxins is OVER, and so is much of my struggle with depression and anxiety. Wanna know how?
